Billing Guide

Bill this code when:

• A connecting bar is fabricated to span between two or more implants
• The bar supports an overdenture or removable prosthesis
• The bar is custom-fabricated (cast or milled) for the patient
• The bar connects to implant abutments already in place

Do not bill this code when:

• Individual implant abutments are placed without a connecting bar. Use D6050, D6056, or D6057
• The implant body is being placed. Use D6010
• A fixed bridge is being placed on implants. Use D6065/D6066 series codes
• An attachment is placed on a single implant without a bar. Different component
